1. Dating from the 14th century, the Royal Castle, a stronghold exemplifying defensive
medieval architecture

2. Old residential architecture represented by the Mieroszewski family mansion, modelled
on French ones and built in the early 18th century.








3. Holy Trinity Church, whose oldest parts of walls date from the times of King Casimir the
Great, rebuilt in the Baroque style at the turn of the 18th century

4. St Thomas of Canterbury’s Church, built about 1834

5. Parts of the old town walls, erected along the line of the mid-14th-century fortifications

6. The so-called “Zagłębie Olympus”, or St Dorothy’s Mountain (383 m above sea level),
with St Dorothy’s Church from 1653

7. St Catherine’s Church; the parish has existed at Grodziec since the 13th century, but
the oldest parts of the church (the presbytery) date from the 18th century

8. The Ciechanowski family park and mansion, built in the mid-19th century to a design by
F.M. Lanci
