Cieszyn is one of the Silesian Voivodeship’s border towns. It lies on Poland’s border with the Czech Republic, and covers an area of 28.69 km2. It has one of Poland’s largest and most modern border crossings, and is a district administrative capital with around 37.000 inhabitants. Cieszyn is an important transport link on the road leading from Scandinavia and the Baltic coast to the major cities of southern Europe. It takes top places in the league tables of district towns drawn up by the Market Economy Research Institute in terms of investment attractiveness for potential investors.
