The busy road Poznan-Gorzów-Szczecin goes through the community, making up a convenient transport connection with the north and south of Poland. One half of the community area is covered with the Notecka Primeval Forest. The community is, in its nature, both industrial and agricultural. The Fruit and Vegetable Processing Plant S.A.
The largest company in the community isthe Unpholstered Furniture Factory "Christianapol" in Lowyn. It is a company with a 100 per cent share of foreign capital, employing 1200 people. In February 1998 the company was bestowed the quality certificate ISO 9002. Apart from that there are many buoyant private companies in the community.
