The
region is famous for its beautiful lakes, magnificent forests and
numerous charming places. Every year a lot of guests, not only Polish
ones, come to rest here. The Land of Miedzychód is called "the
Country of One Hundred Lakes". The Warta river crosses the

is the Kamionka river valley.
Numerous lakes are the habitats of many bird species, e.g. a falcon,
a sea eagle, a black kite, a crane, a black stork, a grey heron,
a swan. One of the tourist attractions is the natural reserve "Deby
Kolenskie" ("Kolenskie Oaks") with the area of 14
ha located on Kolenskie Lake.
The natural resources of the area are the deposits of peat (humolite)
and sulphuric springs which may be used for medicine in future.
The lake district is covered with forests - the Notecka Primeval
Forest spreads out over the area from the right bank of the Warta
river.
On
the edge of Notecka Forest, in Mierzyno, approximately 4 km from
Miedzychód there is the Holiday Centre "Ustronie". It
offers highly prepared bed places. Shops and restaurants provide
tourists with complete service.
On Miejskie Lake in Miedzychód, next to the beach there is the
"Neptun" Hotel providing good staying coditions and excellent
cuisine. The situation and landscape of the region contribute to
the development of agrotourism. In the community area there are
several agrotourist farm accepting guests all year long.
They offer board and lodging and provide tourists with numerous
attractions - rides by coach and on horseback, bonfires and roasting
a wild boar, regional cuisine and old Polish hospitality. A lot
