The area is perfect for holidaymakers. Its natural beauty - its
changing landscape with its mosaics of wild flowers and its rare
and unique bird life (there are over 500 birdwatching points) -
are amongst Potegowo's many attractions. The clear waters of the
Łupawa and Łeba can provide perfect canoeing trails. Nature conservancy
is evident everywhere.
Nature reserve "Grodzisko Runowo" - area 29,66 ha.
Protected species: the beech groves and marshy meadows, the monument
beeches and oaks, whose circumferences are over 3 m
Of major historical importance is the ancient Slavonic town and
burial mound, the only one in Western Pomerania. The settlement
dates from the second half of the 4th century AD. It is registered
as a cultural object and is under strict conservation and protection.
Winter holidays, riding holidays, Indian and trapper holidays, as
well as school field trips can all be organised in this beautiful
region.
Restaurant Nostalgia in Poganice on the Słupsk -Gdańsk road, by
the Łupawa river is housed in a 19th century mill. This historical
eatery has spaces for 50 guests.
Łupawa - big village, situated at Słupska Lowland on Łupawa
River in Potęgowo Community. Its name originates from the name of
river, with steep banks, fissured and deep riverbed.
First historical documents are dated since 1284 year. Łupawa was
in ownership of monastery in Kołbacz. Next owners were families:
Święć, Tessen, Puttkamer and Zitzewitz. The period of its prosperity
was in XVII century. Since 1689, during some years, Łupawa possessed
the town laws.

The splendid history of Łupawa is proclaimed by following monuments
in church, built in 1762-1772: bricklaying, hall-type, with tower
and outbuilding, inside baroque pulpit since 1750 and renaissance
bench and wooden font since 1865. There are also the remains of
ancient trees in widespread park, where up to 1980 was the palace,
in which Napoleon stopped at during his march to Moscow. In 1998
on ruins of the palace new stylised court was built. On the right
band of Łupawa River there is the ancient cemetery with megaliths
- rock graves. There were also discovered the ancient graves connected
with Łużyce and Easter-Pomeranian culture.
In Łupawa have been remained the XIX and the beginning of XX centuries
houses.
