Nevertheless, Ryki preserved many spots which remind its rich
past. These are, i. a.:
a palace with a lovely park in the town’s centre, built in the mid
eighteenth century, probably as a residence for Stanisław Poniatowski,
currently the seat of the Registrar’s Office and the Municipal Cultural
Centre; The Church of Christ the Saviour is the impressive monument
of the architecture, built in 1908 – 14. It is the neogothic Church.
The impressive picture in the main altar was painted in 1915 by
Leon Wyczółkowski, a famous Polish painter strictly connected to
this area.
With plenitude of woods in the area, unpolluted natural environment,
and very picturesque location between five large ponds, Ryki is
certainly a lovely spot for tourists. The attractive position of
the town is favourable and makes it possible to develop the tourist
base and to organize business meetings.
